Dr. Laura Peaslee established Pursuit Physical Therapy + Bike Fit to help people of all ages and athletic abilities get back to doing what they love. Laura graduated from University of New England with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2012 and University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in Allied Health Sciences with a minor in psychology.
She uses a combination of skilled manual therapy and corrective/functional exercises to help her patients reach their goals and stay pain-free. Laura has extensive advanced training in a wide variety of manual therapy skills (Mulligan, Maitland, McConnell), concussion rehabilitation, and is certified in ASTYM, dry needling, blood flow restriction (BFR) training, and myofascial decompression (dynamic cupping). She is a certified personal trainer (National Academy of Sports Medicine, NASM).
Laura is a lifelong endurance athlete with a passion for health and wellness. She is an avid road, gravel, and mountain bike cyclist and a certified SICI bike fitter. Laura uses science and methodology of the Serotta International Cycling Institute (SICI), combined with her knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology (the study of human movement), to maximize performance and comfort and decrease risk of injury for cyclists of all ages and levels through customized bike fitting.
When Laura is not on her road, gravel, or mountain bike, you can find her skiing, running, sailing, cooking, traveling, and enjoying the great outdoors with friends and family.
